Week 19.5

I am feeling her move a lot more.  On top of that, I have been having to run to the restroom often.  I don't know how I'm going to survive on the 6-7 hour drive up North.  We'll see!  I am excited to see our family in San Fran.  They technically haven't seen since I found out I was preggo.  ;D

It was parent conference week last week.  After school a former student (my 4th grader last year) came in and this is how our conversation went...

Student:  Hi, Mrs. M.
Me:  Hi, J!
Student: (A little upset)  Why didn't you tell us you were pregnant?!
Me: Huh?  Oh!  Was I supposed to tell everyone?
Student:  You said last year you would tell us once you were!
Me:  Oh!  I'm sorry!  I thought everyone already knew.
Student:  Oh, it's okay.  Congratulations!  Is it a boy or a girl?
Me: A girl.
Student:  Okay, I will see you later!
Me:  Thanks for visiting!

Then 30 minutes later he comes in while I'm conferencing with a parent.  Walks straight in and starts talking..."Here is a blanket for the baby.  It's the only one I could find with monkeys on it."  Aya, I almost started tearing up.  His mom makes blankets and they gave me one.  So sweet!

On the same day, another student hands me a monkey and says, "This is for the baby."  My students are spoiling her!
